''Of all the places in the world'', Split is often said to be ''the most beautiful''. Even the Roman emperor Diocletian, at the time he was ruling the whole known world, chose to build his summer palace and residence in Split. Today it is the best-preserved antique palace in the world, one that has been upgraded throughout centuries, which earned Split the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afterwards we take you to the nearby city of Trogir whose Romanesque and Gothic nucleus is the best preserved in this part of Europe and also under UNESCO protection. You will also see the Cathedral of St Lawrence and its portal, the work of the artisan Radovan, which is considered one of the ten most beautiful works of art in the world from that time. Cross the stone bridge and immerse yourself in the city’s mysteries and grace – the timeless scenes of this island-city await.
